This Guest Comic is by the awesome Jann (Jande) Rowe. Jann is the author of the awesome graphic novel Aedre’s Firefly and you definitely should be following her at http://www.e-orbits.com/ . She is a fantastic artist and a great supporter of her friends on the internet. She draws, she paints, she writes and she does great things like guest strips for people like me.
There will be 3 new strips coming up this week featuring Rianne and Bo-Hulk. They are awesome so don’t forget to come back Tuesday through Thursday to read them. Leave us your comments.
She borrowed Dr. Rianne in today’s comic from Dr. Carlo Jose San Juan creator of the awesome and funny Callouscomics at http://www.callouscomics.com/.
These are awesome people and you really should check their stuff out.

Nuclear medicine. Gosh you better be careful Bo. The title BoHulk has me a bit concerned. This isn’t an attempt to bulk up to defend yourself against Mildred’s threats due to the tutu toon is it???

The thought has entered my mind. LOL
February 16, 2011 at 8:21 am |
Oh great work too Jande.
February 16, 2011 at 9:35 am |
Ain’t it awesome?
February 16, 2011 at 3:15 pm |
Thank you, Tony. I feel privileged to be allowed to draw both Bo, and Rianne of Callous Comix. What a great community we have here on tuh’ interwebbz

No wonder the number of people in Gatorhead who see aliens is higher than norm. The government tends to do their experiments on them.
Nice job Jande.
February 16, 2011 at 9:37 am |
You mean everybody don’t see them on a regular basis. (Yall sure are givin’ me a lot of ideas.)
February 16, 2011 at 3:18 pm
See what? ;`)
February 16, 2011 at 3:16 pm |
Thanks, Bearman! And I think you must be right. It’s a conspiracy by the Gov’t to keep the rest of us out!
February 16, 2011 at 9:11 am |
Haha! Way to connect many worlds together Jande! Great job!
Can’t wait for the follow-up too! 🙂 Bo Hulk sounds ominously entertaining!

This is a great guest strip by Jande. I’m hoping Bo will have some phosphorescent qualities after his treatment. The Glow Bo could be a new nocturnal crime fighter. 🙂 Thru radioactive treatments a new beacon of light shines in the dark, illuminating the shadows where criminals attempt to hide.

I’m beginnin’ to glow for real Todd…just thinkin about the possibilities.
February 16, 2011 at 3:10 pm |
NEW! Exclusively at TOYS(BackwardsR)US The Glow Bo Action Figure! Watch him dynamically stand! And.. uh… sit! and THINK! ;`)
Loved your comment, Todd. :`)
February 18, 2011 at 12:15 pm
You can find them right next to the Bobble Head Bo.
April 4, 2011 at 10:55 am |
Haha! GLOW BO!
February 16, 2011 at 11:59 am |
Looks like you’ve got a problem coming up, Bo.
Great job, Jande! You captured everyone so well! 😀
February 16, 2011 at 12:30 pm |
I would say Problems are my middle name but I thank Bo is my middle name. My first name must have been Durnit because when my mama or daddy got mad they always said “Durnit Bo Lumpkin!”
February 16, 2011 at 3:20 pm
LOL!
February 16, 2011 at 3:19 pm |
Ah, thank you sir!
February 16, 2011 at 12:15 pm |
Very cool look to this strip, Jande!
It looks like you’re doing pretty well, too, Bo (I probably would have passed out by this point)! 🙂
February 16, 2011 at 12:31 pm |
I almost passed out just thinkin’ about it. I can’t wait to see the results.
February 16, 2011 at 3:26 pm
*mysterious smile that gives nothing away* Well first I have to do some research on how to draw him with those pasties all over him with wires going to the EEG machines (or whatever their called) lol
February 16, 2011 at 3:24 pm |
Thank you, Spilledinkguy! I figured he’s been there so often he was used to the needles by now. Also that it took him years to be “Thinkin’ ” there might be something else in those “nuclear” injections… ;`)
Stay tuned. More to come.
April 4, 2011 at 10:58 am |
You won’t pass out if I took care of you… not that I hope that you’d require the services of Nuclear Medicine… 🙂
February 16, 2011 at 8:24 pm |
Thanks Jande today has been a great day for all of Gatorhead.
February 16, 2011 at 10:01 pm |
You are very kind, Bo. It’s been fun and will continue to be fun as the story arc progresses. ;`) Thanks for sharing your character with the community.
February 16, 2011 at 9:46 pm |
Bo’s never looked better. Well, at least until the effects of whatever Rianne will do to him take effect. I’m not sure I’d trust a doctor who looks that happy.
February 16, 2011 at 10:09 pm |
The only doctor I’ve ever wholly trusted is Caz (creator Rianne and Callous Comics) and that’s because he lives a few thousand miles away. That guy has a GREAT bedside manner to reach it out this far. I have a serious case of phobia around doctors. Heh.
Check out his comic and you’ll get a more of a feeling for Rianne’s gentle sense of humour. I’m sure she’ll be as surprised as Bo with the results of this little test…
February 18, 2011 at 5:44 pm
I do read Callous and like it, ducks and all. A doctor cartoonist seems quite unique.
April 4, 2011 at 11:00 am |
I keep pretty quiet as a physician, always have my nose buried in a book or on a comic strip. 🙂
Thanks for the kind words, Binky! Wine gums for everyone!
February 18, 2011 at 12:02 pm |
Whoa, freaking awesome!
February 18, 2011 at 12:16 pm |
Ain’t it the truth.
February 19, 2011 at 5:17 pm |
your good
February 26, 2011 at 11:35 pm |
Don’t make Bo mad, you won’t like him when he’s mad…
April 4, 2011 at 9:08 am |
How did I miss responding to this. Just remember I don’t get mad often. I just get even by annoying people.
April 4, 2011 at 8:55 am |
I’m getting a strong sense of Deja Vu here… Heh. thanks, Bo! I hope you all enjoy the next three strips.
April 4, 2011 at 9:07 am |
I’m the lucky one. I already know how awesome the rest of it is. I can never thank you enough for this.
April 4, 2011 at 10:21 am |
You are most welcome, Bo. For me it was an opportunity to stretch myself as an artist and cartoonist. It took me forever to see where it was going, and even longer to get the Bo-character drawn well enough to suit me. My biggest worry, though, was the “story”. Art without story is nice to look at, but is it memorable? Does it move us as deeply as story can? Not for me.
That said, I’m sure there is more to this story. I wish I had time to do more of it.
So my thanks to you and thanks to Dr. Caz of Callous Comics. (and thanks to Marvel Comics who gave us the first Incredible Hulk).
April 4, 2011 at 11:03 am |
I’m pretty curious myself on how this’ll all turn out! Thanks again for including my character in your awesomeness, Jande!
I too like to do guest comics to stretch my artistic legs and keep my creativity fresh! I’d like to do more than I do and I would given more time. 🙂
April 4, 2011 at 8:51 pm |
I’m in a time warp!!
Maybe this time the story will play out, though.
April 5, 2011 at 10:39 am |
I love Bo’s expression in the final panel. It’s like “what did i get myself into?”. This is great, Jande! Better than TV!
April 5, 2011 at 10:55 am |
Sometimes when I go to Nuclear medicine I really feel a little spooky.
April 5, 2011 at 11:57 pm |
[…] can still catch them. He’s posted three of the four parts already, Monday, Tuesday and today, starting here and the finale will be posted on Thursday. Go and let Bo know what you think of them. If you like […]
