No Call List- Mildred in the Morning

I had a pretty good weekend.   I did a lot of comic work, sold some jewelry, enjoyed Fathers Day.  I hope to do some more comics and make some jewelry this week.  I also need to make some Cedar Crosses and Copper Crosses… I am running very low on those.  I completed putting together my Hank the Handy Man mini comic on the computer and I hope to be able to print a few copies this week to sell next weekend.  I have been passing lots of copies of the Café Comics out and seem to be getting some response even if I never get any feedback.

I guess the main thing is that life is good at Gatorhead.  I hope it is the same for yall.

A new KRUD-TV comic will be posted Wednesday.

Life Is Good

I definitely love comics.  I love drawing comics, I love reading comics but most of all I think the biggest thrill is appearing in comics.  Several of my fellow comic creators have honored me by using me as a character in their comics at one time or another.  My Good friend Michael Phelps, creator of the ”Life On 66″ comic uses me as a re-appearing character in his strip.  Recently I received a surprise gift in the mail.  It was Michael’s new book “The Whole Shebang”, a collection of the first couple of years of his webcomic. Not only did Michael autograph it and draw my picture on the inside but he gave me “shout out” with a link to my site inside the pages of the book.  Even though I have read all the comics before I have still enjoyed reading them again.  Thanks Michael for all the good comics, thanks for the book, thanks for using me as a character, and thanks for putting a link to my site in your book.  Most of all thanks for giving an old redneck something to smile about.

Gatorhead Comics with ADs

This is the next to the last draft of the Gatorhead Comic Sheet with ads.  I think I have included all the ads that were sent to me.  If you sent me an ad and it isn’t included please remind me or send it again and I will include it in a later issue or a later reprint of this on.  If you have an ad (or not) and would like to print some of these flyers out and hand out to friends or even people you don’t really like, feel free to do so.  If your ad is included it might be to your benefit to share some copies.

I will be printing a hundred of these in color this weekend and probably will pass them out in places where they will receive multiple views.  I will then print another hundred to hand out during Craft Shows and Jewelry sales next month.  If you see any errors or anything that should be changed please let me know.  I do want this to be a good reflection on the advertisers. I have one more ad to paste on the page but it is a local ad and I have to do some scanning and adjusting on it.

Project Comic Ads – Update

Here is an updated version of the project I have been working on to pass out at Craft and Jewelry shows.  I have a lot more ideas to say about the whole concept but I haven’t had time to write it all down.  At the present time this looks like the format that I will be using.  Input and suggestions welcome.

I had to quit postin’ anything on my blogspot site because it didn’t give me an option to upload photo’s from my computer (or at least I couldn’t figure it out).  At this stage of my life if it causes too much frustration I just kind of walk away from it.

More Comics Comin’

I had planned to post a new Creatures of Habit comic today but didn’t get around to it. I will have it posted for tomorrow.
Actually last night I sat down and made jewelry for the first time. I have been a little reluctant to make any because I am still not sure if I will be able to do the Farmer’s Markets and craft shows later on. Since my daughter will probably be working some of them I decided to go ahead work on some. I will post some of it on my other site after I get a little more made. I am going to continue with new comics and I have some new stuff in the works.

Once Is Enough

This was another of my earlier Mildred comics while she was still flyin’ solo.  It has been a hectic week and If you read the previous post you will see that life is going to get even more complicated for me since I have a new boss.  That’s right.  As long as it was just my wife I was second in command and now that we have a dog I have slipped one rung down the ladder.  The only time I ever really get to be boss is when I am alone even though I am the MMIC (Main Man In Charge) of Gatorhead Comics and Copperhead Jewelry.

A Getwell Card from Edna

In repostin’ stuff I couldn’t leave out the Get Well card from Edna.  I have actually known people who would try to one-up you with their illnesses.

I had intended to upload some jewelery today on my www.bolumpkin.wordpress.com site but I can’t find my card reader that I need  to upload the pictures.  Actually the pictures are pictures of the jewelry that I am going to be giving away in my contest.  There will be twenty winners in the first phase of the contest.  It will run for about a week and will be a way for me to promote my websites and gain new followers (I hope.)

I will be working on the rules (which will be simple, because I need to understand them myself.)
