Wrinkle Free- KRUD-TV

June 19, 2013

KRUD-TV5

It seems like everyone has gone casual.  During the week lawyers wear their khaki pants and golf shirts.  Doctors seem to dress more casual and even preachers don’t always have the coat and tie in the pulpit but whether it is on national TV or your local news you can always count on your local anchor wearing a suit…always buttoned.  This one was just a thought that went along with the first blurb because I have never seen the male anchors with a wrinkle in their suit.

No Call List- Mildred in the Morning

June 17, 2013

NO CALL LIST

I had a pretty good weekend.   I did a lot of comic work, sold some jewelry, enjoyed Fathers Day.  I hope to do some more comics and make some jewelry this week.  I also need to make some Cedar Crosses and Copper Crosses… I am running very low on those.  I completed putting together my Hank the Handy Man mini comic on the computer and I hope to be able to print a few copies this week to sell next weekend.  I have been passing lots of copies of the Café Comics out and seem to be getting some response even if I never get any feedback.

I guess the main thing is that life is good at Gatorhead.  I hope it is the same for yall.

A new KRUD-TV comic will be posted Wednesday.

Regrets- Mildred In The Mornng

June 14, 2013

Regrets

I thought I ought to throw a Mildred in the mix.  She was feelin’ a little left out lately.  There will be more KRUD-TV comin’ up next week but I don’t want to completely abandon my old characters.

I would appreciate you keeping me in your thoughts and prayers.  I felt pretty bad the first couple of days of the week but started feelin’ a little better yesterday.  My family wanted me to go to the ER but since they have already told me there isn’t much they can do for me I decided against it.  I’m feelin’ much better today so I think I made the right call. (I am writing this on Thursday.)  Sometimes I forget just what a bad shape my heart is in but it has a way of remindin’ me.  I was going to cut my grass today but I have decided it is too hot so I will just load my snake gun in case they overtake the place in the tall grass.

I have been workin’ on comics most of the week since I haven’t felt like doin’ much else.  If I don’t feel well I still try to stay busy because I seem to feel worse if I just sit around.  Before the comments start comin’ and you start naggin’ I do plan to go to the doctor if I start to feel worse again.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.  I plan to be at the Attala County Farmers Market in the morning selling jewelry and I am looking forward to it.

I have been workin’ on some more News People for the KRUD comics and hope to introduce them a little later.  I haven’t forgotten about my other characters but I just happen to have these already in my buffer.  I am thinking maybe of doing some multi-panel strips in the future. I’m open to input from the readers.  Possibly later I will go to once a week on the KRUD and use my other comics the other two days.  Mainly I’m just havin’ fun and I don’t want to lock myself into makin’ any promises about the future schedule.  Since I upload these several days in advance I could change my mind about what I am going to do before they even post.

Thanks for reading, commenting an hitting the like button.

Shocking News

You can see more of Steve Ganshert’s great play on words at his blog- Rambler
http://rambler-steveganshert.blogspot.com/

It has been a busy week.  I spent one night with my wife, daughter and grandson at Lake Tiak O’Khata near Louisville, Mississippi.  My grandson was determined to do some fishing.  A large thunderstorm with lots of lighting sent us in right after we got to the cabin and we thought the wind just might blow the cabin into the lake.  The wind died down, the thunder and lightning stopped and my determined grandson fished until 10 PM in the rain without catching anything.  That is what I call determination.  We didn’t do so well with the fish but we had  great time.  I made some jewelry Friday night and I set up at the Farmer’s Market and sold a little Jewelry Saturday morning.

I just uploaded my devotionals for the week at
http://shilohbaptist.blogspot.com
and now I am finally getting around to uploading this weeks blogs and comics.  I have all the ones for this site and will be coloring the Hank The Handy Man remakes later tonight for the other site
http://bolumpkin.wordpress.com
.  I appreciate each of you who stop by and especially those who hit the like button or leave a comment. Thanks so much for your support.

http://rambler-steveganshert.blogspot.com/
 .

Don’t forget to check back next week for whatever I happen to post.  For the first time in a long time I finished and posted everything for the whole week with material still in my buffer.  Life is good.

KRUD TV- INTRODUCTION

June 5, 2013

Welcome to Krud

This is an introduction to the new comic series KRUD-TV written mostly by Steve Ganshert, author of the Rambler Blog at
http://rambler-steveganshert.blogspot.com/
.  I will be posting another of these on Friday. Check out Steve’s blog to get a look at the amazing things he does with words.  You will get a laugh I am sure.

Steve has been blogging for about the same length of time I have (5 years) and we plan to use his archives for Comic material.  I doubt that we will run short.

You can see my remake of Hank The Handy Man comics on my I’ve Been Thinkn’ page every Tuesday and Thursday
http://bolumpkin.wordpress.com
.  Enjoy!  Oh, and don’t worry, Kurt, Burt, Mildred, and Edna, as well as the Creatures will be makin’ an appearance from time to time.

Horticulture- Burt and Kurt

Horticulture

Beginning this week I will be posting on this site on  Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays .  I will be posting on my I’ve Been Thinkin’ page at
http://bolumpkin.wordpress.com
 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

My friend Steve Ganshert has an unbelievable talent playing with words.  His blog is laugh out loud funny and can be found at
http://rambler-steveganshert.blogspot.com/
This week I drew the first settings for our new comic KRUD-TV, mostly using Steve’s proposed Headlines from his blog.  I will be posting the first of these on Wednesday.  You can get an early look at it if you check out Steve’s page tomorrow.

I will be mixing them in with my other cast of characters.  My comics have become a whole lot like Forest Gump’s box of chocolates, you never know what you will get.  It does seem like you will be getting something 5 days a week for awhile.

I will be postin’ the makeovers of Hank the Handy Man on the I’ve Been Thinkin’ site on Tuesday and Thursday.

I hope you enjoy and we welcome comments.

Absence of Mind

Absence of Mind

I have been busy recently upgrade some old material for print (you can check it out on my other page at
http://bolumpkin.wordpress.com
) but I am also trying to work on some new stuff too.  In the near future I hope to give Edna and Mildred as well as Kurt and Burt a makeover.  It seems like traffic has really died down and the comments are falling off since I haven’t been able to do as much commenting on other websites but one of the things I have learned is that I am doing this for me.  When I get to where I don’t enjoy it, I will quit completely or at least really slack off but I am still havin’ a good time and that’s not bad after 5 years.  I am not sure of the exact date I started but it has been 5 years ago this month.  I hope you have enjoyed a little of what I have posted over those five years…if not, keep checkin’ maybe it will get better.
